It is that time of year. Yes, spring in the sunny south but also the annual visit of Grandpa Joe. He called last night to make his plans. He still lives in the Frozen Tundra but comes to visit us once a year. Usually in the month of April. It is something the kids have come to look forward to. Grandpa Joe is the greatest house guest! First of all he doesn't stay at the house :) Not that he isn't welcome he just prefers a hotel room and it always has worked out for the best :) He usually comes over a little after lunch and stays through dinner. And he is here for about 3 days. And the best part is, he comes just to see his grandkids (and me of course ;). We don't have to entertain him. He is so content just to be with us. We do usually go somewhere like the Jr. Museum, Wakulla Springs or Lake Ella. A favorite place has been the Mary Brogan Museum. It is a hands on museum with lots of great things for the kids and adults to participate in. Remember the pulley/lever, Grandpa Joe?? Last year when we went to Wakulla Springs they were actually doing an archaeological dig!! I will be pondering over the next few weeks were we will go this year. We usually like to pick a place that "showcases" the area we live in. It seems like just yesterday Grandpa Joe and Nona Kris were here. My how the time flies. Anyway, we all are excited for your visit Grandpa Joe. . .
