We didn't really have a plan. I wanted to make a plan. But it just didn't happen. Which actually worked out better.
Friday morning we had a leisurely breakfast of eggs and bacon. A camping must! The kids played on the playground with their new found friends. And rode around the campground.
We knew we were going to Savannah but took our time getting there. We ate an early lunch and then headed up to the Information Center at the campground. They had all kinds of native creatures on display. Some alive. Some dead.
Replica of the bones of a giant sloth found in the area. Kinda creepy.
Diorama of giant sloth in right corner. There is an Indian figure in the left. The sloth must have been massive.
The pool was closed due to budget cuts. But, as we walked passed Boop made the comment about "the thing that flings you into the air." We had no idea what he was talking about. Turns out he thought the lifeguard chair was some type of contraption that tossed kids into the air and into the pool!
We enjoyed taking a peek around and learning a little bit more about one of our nearby states. . .
