Probably could have added these to the last post. Swimming creatures and mammals. There were so many exhibits and displays. I think I realized I could not take pictures of it all so there are only a few of these.
We still are debating what type of whale this is. I suppose it said it somewhere but we never saw it.
The tank with the reef fish. So many vibrant colors. Makes one want a tropical fish tank. Well, makes hubby and the kids want a tropical fish tank.
The kids recognize the fish because of the movie Finding Nemo. That cracks me up.
Megladon jaw with massive teeth. My hubby wants to go diving, searching or whatever you call it for Megladon teeth. I guess there are rivers in our state that have them.
The exhibits in the mammal display were extraordinary. The animals were divided up by habitat. This is just one example of the realness of the displays. You looked up and there was this leopard or jaguar with his prey in a tree.
I didn't get a good picture of this but it was a tiger jumping out of its display area. I just found it fascinating. I took a bunch of pictures of it and this is the best one.
Next stop is the Museum of American History. . .
