Savannah - The Trolley

We got to Savannah early afternoon, with a plan to walk to a couple of the sites I had picked out on a map (which I had left in the camper.) After walking about 5 blocks, after being given a spare map from a very nice couple, we decided that we probably needed a better plan. Did you know the historical squares are not named after the statutes that are in them? Very confusing.

Anyway, it became very apparent, very quickly that you could literally spend a week in Savannah just soaking in all the history and houses. It was fantastic. But, because we didn't have a week, we decided to take the trolley and hit all the highlights, with a plan to go back to the things we really wanted to see in more detail.

The Connell Clan in Savannah.

Hubby doesn't like having his picture taken. But, he wanted one with the skeleton painted on the side of a building.

Loved the covered stairs and Little Mama volunteered to be my adorable photo subject. Many houses had greenery climbing up the stairs and sides of the buildings.

The fam on the open air trolley. Because we had gotten tickets kind of late in the day. We were able to ride the next day as well. The trolley had 14 stops and you could get on and off where ever you wanted, all day.

Definitely the way to get around town. Way more pictures of what we saw, tomorrow . . .

Looks like a beautiful place! Todd often travels to Savannah for work, but I haven't been there. Yet.
