The Lake House

There were 10 (sometimes 12 when my niece and mother-in-law stayed with us) staying in the lake house.  Sort of three bedrooms and only one bath, but it totally worked out great!  The yard was beautiful with a dock and access to a boat.  The leaves were fabulous.  One day EG and I went out in the sun and gathered leaves and just enjoyed the cooler weather, sunshine and nature.

It was such a blessing.  So, so much better than an impersonal hotel.

The living room where all the girls slept.  Where we watched football and movies.  And where some slept on the couch.

Sign that says do not feed the bears.  The BEARS?!?!

Couldn't get enough of the trees and their leaves.

Love, love, love northern grass.  So soft.

Kids, of all ages, entertainment.

More trees and beautiful homes on the lake.

Cousins.  Almost half of them.  All but two of the 18 were at the wedding.  So cool!

Spectacular swing that went out over the lake.  Not for the faint of heart.

All the big girls took a turn (or two.)

Family.

More family.

Love these two boys.

A Thursday afternoon boat ride.  Hubby and all the kids.

The kids WANTED to swim.  The lake was cold and it was about 70 degrees outside.  But, they were insistent.  Our springs around here are colder, I think.  Regardless, I was not getting in.

Future fisherman.

Sunbathing beauties.

Loved all the shoes collected by the door everyday.

The yard was gorgeous!  So peaceful and relaxing.

Cousins playing cards.

Beautiful morning view from the end of the driveway.

Great memories . . .
