Today I had scheduled a scavenger hunt at the creek with our nature friends. How was I suppose to know that it was only going to be 33 degrees!! Next time I will check the weather.
Anyway, the kids were troopers. They paired up - one reader to one non-reader and tried to work through the list of about 25 things. Most of which they would only see in the spring and/or summer. So they checked off a few things. Checked out the creek. Walked in the mud.
About 15 minutes later, we called it a day and headed over to our friends to warm up. The plan is to go back the beginning of March to see how many more things we can find on our scavenger hunt list. When it is a little warmer . . .
