Dinner Options

Last night, as a surprise, I took the kids to Chick-fil-A for dinner. (Daddy had to work late.) It was family night so kids eat free. They had face painting and they gave out balloons. The big cow was wandering around the restaurant. Which really is kind of funny because most of the real little kids are afraid of it! Sissy and Mickey came along so it made the whole process just a little bit easier for me. There really is no greater place to eat then CFA. After I had ordered the food, the manager brought it to my table. There is no other fast food restaurant that offers to do that. The kids can turn in the toy that is in the kid's meal for a free cup of ice cream. Sometimes the kids take advantage of it. Sometimes not. And the toys are awesome. Last night it was little books that talked about landmarks on the west coast such as the Space Needle. Some of the toys I have actually kept and used for school!

Anyway, tonight is mommy and daddy's night for dinner out. Sissy and Mickey are going to babysit and we are going to Outback using the gift certificate Paul got from Mickey for his birthday. Mickey knew that part of the deal with giving us a gift certificate for dinner was that he would have to babysit in order for us to use it ;) I know daddy has been looking forward to this. One of his favorite foods is a Bloomin' Onion. It usually takes us about 45 minutes to eat so we will probably spend the rest of the time looking for a bathroom mirror and shelf. Hopefully we will find both and finally finish the guest bathroom . . .
